My baby requires open heart surgery at 6 mths? |
he has tetralogy of fallot which consists of 4 major defects in his heart is there any online support groups i can log onto for parents going through this to have someone to talk to that understands the heart ache day by day I am goin through the same thing right now with my daughter. I would love 2 help you with any questions you may have that I can answer. God be with you, i haventgone thru this myself, but God be with you... Wow, I feel for you. Stay strong and make sure you take of yourself so you can take care of your child. I hope someone here knows where you can find support. I am so sorry for what you and your family are going through. You will be in my prayers. I don't know if these will help or not but hopefully they will. hello There's one group called Children's Heart Group at Pennstate University Hospital which offers help to both parents and the child undergoing surgery. I am not sure where your child's going to have surgery but I'm pretty sure you can ask the staff for their own support group. Or you can go to American Heart association website and start from there. Im a nurse who has handled pediatric heart surgery cases and although I am not their parent, I feel the agony of both the child and the parents.
