Am i having a heart attack ?

I have read everything on the internet about heart attacks and now i'm sitting here in a panic attack which can also mimic a heart attack , i have had chest pain for a few hours now on and off not that servere that i would even take medication for it feels like i have something sitting on my chest which i often get but i keep getting a sore jaw same on and off , i suffer from very bad indigestion , i had pizza today for lunch and i had reflux within an hour of eating and 8 hours later its still here , i basically feel fine like i do any other day , except my mind is thinking the worst as i tend to always to with every situation. i have bile in the back of my throat really bad, also i have apain in my left shoulder blade that comes and goes as well , is this related to heart burn or a heart attack , can you get jaw pain from indigestion ? i know this is a horrible thing to ask but is there anyone out there that may know the signs of a heart attack first hand ?

Thank you to all that repsonded i spoke with my doctor and he thinks its all in my head , ( without actually saying it ) he said my symtoms are a classic sign of indigestion , except for the jaw ache , i have to go see him tomorrow morning.

He tends to believe that because i am a bad anxiety sufferer that reading all this info on heart attacks has made my symtoms worse.

He also did state to put my mind at ease go to the hospital like everyone else suggested. ( pass ) i dont have any chest pain now , but my jaw still aches on and off.

i feel totally embarrassed now , you must be thinking this woman is crazy , not crazy just the anxiety gets the better of me at times and tonight it did just that.

thanks for your concern all and for the few of you who made horrible comments i hope you never have to deal with bad anxiety in your life at all , its a terrible thing to deal with especially when everyone around you doesnt suffer from it makes you feel like an outcast at times.

ok all you have too do is calm down pick up the phone make a doctors apointment for as soon as possible, worrying will only make it worse darling so try and keep calm. It could only be indigestion but its always good to know for sure as you never know unless a doctor says. My uncle has experianced heart attacks and you will never know as it can be very different for different people. But if you get a doctors appointment and he will decide weather you need to go hospital for tests and things, no worrying as you will be carefully looked after and probley fine. If before going doctors find it really hard to breath or feel awful in anyway leave it 5 minutes and if your not feeling much better call you self an ambulance. And remember haveing a panic attack will make you feel worse and probley you will only have indigestion and the panic attack will make it feel more like a heart attack soo safe side go to the doctor darling he/she will know weather to send you too hospital or if its nothing at all too worry about.. I have no idea about heart attacks axcept pain down the right arm witch some people dont suffer with when having an heart attack .. so my advise is to see a doctor you cannot go wronge there.. :] .. may i advise no medicating such as somethin you can buy over the counter incase the worse and it interferes with the medication the doctor may give.. And the comment just after the one under myn.. Shut up because if it is seriouse your just freaking her out you twat.

I would hazard a guess that you are a hypochondriac. You are probably fine. Just stop reading about heart attacks and think about something else. Like fluffy bunnies. With lots and lots and lots of teeth. Yummy bunny. XD

sounds like indigestion ! stop looking up things that will set you into panic !! take a deep breath and relax and forget about searching the Internet for life threatening things unless your Doctor tells you your ILL with something !!

Could be any of the above, but if it is angina or a heart attack, better not chance it. The worst that could happen in the emergency room is that they'll tell you it's severe heartburn. If you stay home, you can't get help, and you only have so much time if it is happening. Move it girl!!! If you can't get someone to take you, call 911. Yahoo Answers isn't going to save your life.

well the symptoms that I can think of right off the bat are these. pain in the left jaw, shoulder and arm. Sometimes all three or just jaw, shoulder or arm. A heavy feeling in the chest as if someone is sitting on your chest. Very often, a feeling that you can't catch your breath. Nausea and vomiting. You can be having a heart attack and only have one of these symptoms or all of them. Indegestion can also be mistaken for heart attack AND heart attack can be mistaken for indigestion. Until you know for sure please have someone take you to the hospital immediately. Too many people have had a heart attack and died because they thought it was indigestion and did not go tro be checked out. If it turns out to be indigestion, make an appointment with your doctor to see about meds for acid reflux. Also one of the bigeest symptoms of a heart attack seems to be denial. Too many people having a heart attack will say no I will be ok in a minute it can't be my heart. Please do not fool around with this. We can only tell you what we know. You need a doctor and a hospital and the proper tests ran to know for sure. If you are having these symptoms right now get to a hospital NOW!!!!! Have someone take you. If now one is around call 911. DO NOT DRIVE YOURSELF PLEASE!!!!! Good luck and I hope all will be ok. Please try to calm down because a panic attack can also have the same symptoms. Still it is best to be checked right now at the hospital.

It kinda sounds like you suffer from hypochondria.... :( But you should still definitely see a doctor, k? Don't worry about feeling stupid if it turns out nothing is wrong. I almost didn't go to the doctor once because of that, and could've died from it! (appendicitis) In any case, I hope it turns out to be nothing serious and you feel better soon! =^.^=
