Ear hearing problems?

my doctor says that there is yellow stuff behind my eardrum and that its an infection but what kind is it? and on top of that i hear less than what i ussualy hear
any1 know anything?

yes i got antibotic from the doctor

The usual culprit for middle ear infections (proper name) is streptococus (strept for short), as pus accumulates it obscures (clouds) the eardrum (timpanic membrane) it will clear with time after the antibiotic treatment.
your hearing tends to decrease because your eardrum can not vibrate hence it is "muffled" it will most likely improve when the infection clears

Did you get anti-biotic from the doctor? If he or she gave you a general antibiotic, then it doesn't matter what kind of infection it is. Just take it as directed, take ALL of the medicine, and be sure to contact your doctor if it isn't all better in about 2 days after you finish the medicine (it stays in your system working for awhile, but if you aren't better, don't wait very long-don't give the infection a chance to grow back! It will probably be worse and harder to cure.) I know that it is frustrating not to know what exactly the infection was, it drives my husband crazy when they do that, but they have to run tests to identify the bug.
Prevention is important. Anything you put in your ears must be clean. Please clean your earbuds, headphones, even the telephone with something that kills germs and do it on a regular basis. And If you borrow from friends, clean it before AND after. Your doctor should have a pamphlet on prevention, or you could research on the internet.
Live well, love deep and do good!
In addition it doesn't hurt to get a hearing test, wait til you are all better. Keep the results so later hearing tests can be compared to it. It helps to identify any future loss.
