What can i do about hearing problems caused by water?

I went to a lake 3 days ago and got some water in my ears and my hearing was affected by it (I can't hear!). Any advise?

do a half peroxide half isopropyl alcohol mixture... then put a little in one of the caps and dump it in each of your ears.. leave it there for a sec then dump it out by turning your head over... peroxide kills germs... alcohol will evaporate the water.

got to a doctor right away. Your ear will probably have to be irrigated. If water gets trapped, you wont hear clear until it is flushed out.

have you been to a dr?

That is the first and most important step.

Definitely try not to get any water in your ears...plug up your ears with cotton balls if you plan to take a shower or anything.

I swam in my mother's beach on the FL Keys and unbeknowst to me the water was declared unsafe, full of bacteria. I caught an ear infection, and to this day, my ear rings. Really Really loud, and there is no cure

Go to the local pharmacy or even Walmarts and get the OTC for swimmers ear it works wonders!
My son has the same problem every time he swims and he uses it and it clears it up.
