Has anybody noticed a connection between slamming doors and hearing problems?

I know sometimes people who don't hear too well tend to shout. Is it also true that there is a connection with door slamming? Has anybody else noticed this?

I am around 3 people that do not hear very well, and slamming a door is something they do, the ages range from 42-72-90 although I am much younger. I think they slam a door because when others just normally shut it we can hear it shut or click when they obviously cannot. They slam car doors house doors dresser drawers whatever shuts. So yes I think there is a connection.

probably or not knowing there own strength.

Can't say I've noticed. My mother was quite deaf, but she never went round slamming doors. It's the opposite in our house, I have to shout to tell people to close the doors. It's like living in a barn
