It Is true If you a get a high pitched ringing In your ears often, you are likley to have hearing problems?

Later In life?

Yes, that ringing sound in your ears most likely means the follicles inside you ears are dying, this is permanent and cannot be reveresed, usually this is caused by exposure to really loud sound (usually 120dB or higher) for an extended period of time, the best thing you can do is avoid loud sounds to prevent further damage to your hearing.
This is only true if you have been exposed to loud sound for an extended period of time prior to the ringing (most likely an iPod turned to full volume becasue theyre popular and at full volume definitely unsafe) The damage will only be felt later in life.

no...it means you have tinnitis (possibly)..heat, meds, music too loud, different things can cause tinnitis.

No I don't think so. It can be a sign of high blood pressure though, or a sudden change in the blood pressure.

What you experience is called tinnitus.
It may be caused by wax in the outer ear, ear infection, impacted teeth, or infected sinuses or tonsils. Medical problems, such as nerve disorders, arteriosclerosis, or hypertension, may also cause tinnitus. More persistent, although not constant, tinnitus may be the result of exposure to loud noise, head injury, or antibiotic drugs. Tinnitus may occasionally be the first symptom of more serious diseases, including M茅ni猫re鈥檚 disease, an inner ear condition that results in hearing loss; otosclerosis, a hereditary disease of the inner ear; and otitis, inflammation of the ear.

It might be an early sign of damage to your inner ear. Try to find the causes among the ones i listed and see if yiu can help by avoiding it.

The random ringing in your ears isn't bad, I don't think; it happens to everyone.

The ringing in your ears after exposing yourself to something really loud is never a good thing; that's a sign of cochlea damage which will affect you later in life (hearing loss).
