Problems hearing or concentrating? |
Over the last few weeks I have noticed a deterioration in my ability to respond to people speaking to me. I would not say that I'm loosing my hearing, as I am aware that I'm being spoken to... however I can't seem to process the words being said, and therefore can't respond. I find myself asking people to repeat themselves numerous times, even though I can hear them perfectly. hey, i've been having a simulair problem, but not as bad as your's has been getting. sometimes i can hardly understand english, even though its the only language i speak. when people talk to me, sometimes, even when i'm doing my best to listen, i just can't comprehend what they're saying to me. some days its worse than others, but for the most part its been getting worse gradually. It isn't trivial when it is impacting on your life. Getting your hearing checked is the easiest and best place to start. Go on and do it, and if its OK then talk to your doctor about the rest of it. Seek medical advise you could have a brain tumor or something. This isn't trivial !! Best Wishes. Its not trivial at all! Oh! Our hearing is not trivial! Why is our sight important and our hearing not? It might be hearing loss, just at specific frequencies. Certain letters in human speech are at different frequencies. Basically you are hearing m ty in on y th w en I wr t . I have the same thing though. I call it the "Charlie Brown" thing since everone sounds like the adults, "Wah wah wah....". It happens once in a while to me and I usually remedy it by putting on my glasses, which means I probably compensate my loss by reading expressions. Go to audiologist! They can help you! (I still have to go myself...SHAME!) |
