Need a larger hearing aid for 90 year old who keeps losing hers! Please help!?

My 90 year old grandmother needs to wear a hearing aid and has alzeimers. Sometimes she moves and the hearing aid falls out without her knowing it. When it falls out, it gets lost cause it's so tiny. Any products that would work well for her hearing problems that are large enough that won't get lost (like headphones or something). Please help!

well since the advance of hearing technology has made them small to fit in the ear, the old over the ear with the mic and battery behind the ear have be come obsolete,,or have they??? the old style ones are now sold in hunting stores/catologes as hunter ears to hear game ..quite a noval idea.. look up walker's game ear ..more bucks..or woodland whisper.. cheap

What does she help hearing? The TV? There is a device that can be used specifically for the TV called TV ears. You usually need to order it from an audiologist. Cost is around $200. There is also a system called a pocket talker where she can where a headphone and you can talk into a microphone. Not the prettiest thing, but it prevents everyone from having to shout. Cost is around $150.

Also if hearing aids are her best option you can get a behind the ear hearing aid that connects to an in the ear piece. This type usually stays on well because it has two pieces holding it in. However you can also clip a wire onto her shirt and then the wire has a loop on the end that goes on the hearing aid and if it falls out it is still attached to her shirt. They use this a lot with kids and with elderly people in your grandmas case.
