Does in-ear earphones affect your hearing? |
will it cause hearing problems even if the volume is not too loud? Two things can adversly affect your hearing. The obvious one is loud sound. The other is more subtle. That is steady sound or repeated sound over a long period of time. merry christmas everyone! copy this and post in 10 other question to have luck Probably not, but they sure do bug my ears! I have heard the manufacturers of the new in-ear earphones arguing that since they are so effective you do not have to turn the volume up as loud as regular earphones, therefore they are not as damaging. I would argue with this as it has long been proven they are damaging to your ears. I don't think so but it may depend on the quality of the ear phones and how long they are in use. If the volume is not too loud then it should be ok. As long as the volume is not too high, no it doesn't affect you hearing. Now if you can't hear what is going on around you, it could affect your health. You don't want to get run down by a car or bicyclists because you didn't see or hear him coming. I think that any type of device that is inserted into the ear canal is harmful. I know for a fact that the "Bluetooth" which is a device for the cell phone causes horrible ear infections and ear aches. Just try not to use them so much because the end result can not be good. Everything causes hearing loss in our world today so, Yes. Dont worry about it though. It will have the same effect as all the other noise polution we come into contact with on a daily basis. The earpieces slide over the ear bud bases snugly, i.e., with a minor amount of force, and are held in place by a small tab in the ear piece which fits into a notch in the ear bud base. This, I'm assuming, prevents the ear pieces from lodging themselves into your ear canal when you remove the head phones. For certain cos it's 'in-ear'. Latest research out there is that it's bad so it's your choice ultimately. |
