My hearing problem is causing havoc at work. Help!?

I love my new job and place of work, but my hearing is causing a lot of stress. Is there an appropriate of telling my bosses that I have hearing disability?

Pear - talk to someone in your Human Relations department - it is their job to help you do your job.

If you have a hearing problem that is affecting your job, they can help you solve it (that includes any special equipment or letting your bosses know about your hearing issue).

New job?? you could be asking for a little trouble by mentioning your hearing problems, you should of maybe mentioned it when you were hired they can come back on you accusing you of not telling the truth on application form and let you go.. seems to me your in a da mn if you do and a da mn if you dont situation.. good luck

You don't say whether you work in the USA or not. If you work in the USA your bass has to make a reasonable accommodation for you under the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). You should simply tell your boss that you have a hearing disability but want to do the best job possible within you capabilities. If you tell your boss about your disability in this way he/she will know that you want to be a good employee. Hopefully your boss is aware of the ADA and will be able to work with you. Good luck and let me know how it works out.
