Who else is sick of hearing "real women have curves" "guys like girls with meat on their bones" etc?

im also sick of hearing guys as young as 6th graders thinking that big butt girls and DD girls are hot because they call girls their age ugly and stuff. its also annoying when people are curvy and proud. not everyone can be overweight or average.

i heard of a place that has labels on their pants that are size 2 and below saying eating disorders are dangerous & they assume people that size are anorexic or bulimic. they should have pants in 14 or above saying how bad obesity is then! i have a 12 year old sister who has to wear a kids 7 & she has a friend the same way her age and they are too small for a 00 so they go to abercrombie kids and stuff like that. i also have a 9th grade friend who wears a kids 8 and eat alot!!

they need to make smaller pants sizes, not just plus sized stores. i dont get why everyone hates thin people when only a small % have eating disorders. what do you guys think of this whole situation?
ps i'm 5'4" and 117 pounds & some people think i have anorexia!

I know exactly what you mean, and it pisses me off too.
So many people or overweight, so all the fat people tell themselves that THEY or normal and everyone ELSE should change.
No, healthy people aren't fat, don't have "curves", meaning they are chunky, and can generally be described as "thin".
Sorry, but don't worry about it. Be proud that you are naturally a healthy weight.

5'4" and 117 sounds perfect to me..

I totally agree! It is extremely offensive to accuse a small person of being anorexic. It is also very frustrating to go into a store and the 0's are too big for you.

Uh, get over it?

Being curvy and proud is a good thing- unless you think healthy people should be underconfident. (every woman has natural curves)

you should come where I live, everyone here is a size 00-3. You seem distressed about being thin- but dear, you can't help what others think.

Many men only want very thin women. Many men only want women with "meat on their bones"

i dont think your anorexic and i have answered questions with similiar responses. it is when someone your height and weight says that they are fat and need to lose 20 lbs. is that still healhty(would u b healthy at 97 lbs). u can b too thin and too fat both equally unhealthy in my opinion. i would say a grown person wearing super small sizes(even for kids) would b unhealhty. those answers are justified when people want to look like nicole richie or soemhting like that. if u think that that is healthier than being 40 lbs overweight then u r wrong.

First of all, there are PLENTY of stores that carry small sizes, and actually very FEW that carry plus sizes. In either case, plus size clothing is never made of good quality or good fashion, so you should consider yourself lucky and say "To hell with what other people think!" Just as some brands assume a size 2 or lower is anorexic, you've just assumed that a size 14 or above is obese. So stop being a hypocrit, stop complaining about being thin, and get used to the fact that most men enjoy a WOMAN'S body and not a little girls. Sorry, but you're really in no position to talk about "being oppressed," because plus size women have been ridiculed and oppressed for much longer.

P.S. If you really want to talk about not being able to find clothes, try having 36-25-41 as your measurements. THEN tell me how hard it is to find clothes.

Look, the reason they do this is to make everyone feel good about themselves. If you have curves, that's great! If you're skinny, that's also great! But you have to admit, there are way too many curvy girls trying to become skinny. It's usually not the other way around. Skinny girls already consider themselves pretty. And yes, when you're really young in the 7th grade it's not a big deal if you're less than a size 00. When you get to be about 15, however, everything changes. So stop getting so pissed off by this.

And that's ridiculous. Anyone 5'4 and 117 lbs is nowhere close to anorexic! That's a great weight and you and everyone who calls you that knows it.

I'm not sick about hearing that because I honestly agree with the saying. I prefer a woman that has curves, there's simply no other way around that. Personally if a women is shaped like a 12 year old boy, there's really nothing physical about her that would attract me.

Now, getting onto the weight issue you're not far off when you say a small percentage of women have eating disorders. However, this depends on what you mean by an eating disorder. I think that starving yourself or taking diet pills in order to look thin is an eating disorder and if that's the case then the numbers are a lot higher.

And stop and consider this: dress sizes have shrunk in the past 10 years to the point where it's necessary to make size 0 and size 00 dresses. How sad is that?

sounds like you're jealous of women with curves.
anyway, guys do like girls with "meat on their bones", i mean, what guy wants to hold a bag of bones?
and yea, some ppl are naturally skinny, but alot arent.
so dont act like the models out there are naturally skinny.
kate moss took cocaine to stay thin, and thats stupid.
and if someone wears size 14 pants, it doesnt mean that they are obese. you are soo ignorant of facts.
someone could be 5'8 and weigh 200 lbs and its healthy, its all about BMI and someone's personal health.
so go get your facts straight, and stop bashing ppl.
you are just completely ignorant of the truth.

Society tells a lot of woman that they have to be thin to be beautiful...just because your curvey doesnt mean your fat. Im sorry people think you have an eating disorder. there probably just jealous. I guess some men just like some soft curves to grab on to. A lot of men are just naturally attracted to boobs...its their nature. And a lot of guys are attracted to slim girls too. But once your at the age of 40 and have kids, you might get the idea.

i'm definitely not sick of it.
being skinny has been the fad for so long that many women believe it to be natural for ALL women to have to be that way. and for one, i'm happy that now it's getting to the point where women are looking for beautiful curves. i do pity the ones who cant gain weight and it's a matter of genetics or something of that sort, but it's high time that women with curves got attention!

A label like that should be illegal. >_<

117 and 5'4" isn't bad. It isn't anorexia, and as long as you know that, it doesn't matter what anyone else says; because there's always going to be someone who gets their kicks from bringing someone down.

That actually sounds perfect to me; There's nothing wrong with not being fat.

Don't worry about it. 6th graders are stupid too then lol; they should still believe in cooties. They don't know how to value a girl if all they can think about are her physical features.

I think God created us as individuals, and we are all different. I think you may want to research dietary guidelines on the web, if you are interested in finding out if you are at your ideal weight. As far as people saying things that are mean or assuming, or whatever, who cares what people think about you? I would say they are probably miserable themselves. If I meet someone I don't like, I usually just thank God I am not like them. It is really just a personal choice.

Omg I so know what you mean! I mean, I'm 13, 5'4" and 98 lbs... It's crazy that people think I'm anorexic just because I'm naturally skinny... I think its stupid how people are starting to turn against skinny people vs. obese people.. Its ridiculous

Regardless of how you feel about girls with curves, that doesn't give you the right to go around calling people 'fat whores'............................

I mean you want sympathy, but with that attitude you get everything you deserve.
