I need to talk to people who suffer from eating disorders.. why?

dont take this seriously, its just for an english project. i just need to talk to people who suffer from eating disorders. could you please tell me how old you are, when you started having problems about your body image, and why you think you need to be skinny? what do you think is so good about the ideal image the media portrays? who is your role model?
since i was doing this project.. i thought i should actually talk to REAL people who suffer through these problems and hear REAL facts other than facts from authors who just have statistics.

please help me!

i've always been weird with food but i guess i was about..14? when i went from being ednos (a form of eating disorder which dosnt specifically fit into anorexia or bulimia) to anorexic/bulimic( bulimic in the form of over exercising. i cant make myself throw up). I have been self conscious about my body since i was 8 and my friend who was teeny told me i was fat. i dont know why i think this way, but my entire amout of self worth depends on my weight. it is the thing that determines if i have a good day or a bad one, if i get to eat or if i fast.

i dont have a role model. i dont think being skin and bones is attractive. this is more because i hate myself. if i can go a few days with out giving in to the food i want to eat, then i feel like i accomplished something. if i can make myself perfect on the outside, then maybe it'll make up for how ****** i am on the inside. i'd be worth caring about. maybe someone would be able to love me

im 12 and i k now im too young to be doing this stuff but im soo fat and my frinedsare so skinny and all the boyys like them and the hink im weird..i hate it

im 16...i started having this problem when i was about 14.i was a bulimic.i wanted to be skinny because i thought i would look better in the clothes i bought, i felt really bad for having to get a larger size then i wanted to.im better now thought! i went to rehab and havent puked since then.i hope this helps.

well im TECHNICALLY not considered anorexic cuz i eat but...i do go to therapy, a nutritionist, and a doctor and i am being forced to gain weight(once again, never anorexic but lost alot of weight)

i started to eat healthy...but got carried away. i was eating the same amount of food every day but it was VERY low calorie(cheerios, fruit, yogurt, carrots, things like that) i was however, a little overweight 2 begin with but now im underweight. i dont look like it though cuz since i lost weight soo fast, i have alot of extra skin(and i look pregnant!)

im 13, 5'5" and went from 130 pounds to 90 pounds(but barely look different) and NO its not a distorted image of myself because my doctor even explained about the loose skin and how i look.


i also HATE models....they are too skinny, unhealthy, and they arent pretty, they look SICK. they are like pale white toothpicks and u can tell how sick they are by looking at them.
