Hearing voices?

Ok for the past year or so ive been hearing voices and seeing things i keep hearing a girls voice telling me im ugly and im fat, i have an eating disorder anorexia ... she also makes me hurt myself?

Thanx everyone, thing is im too scared to get help. The shrink knows about them and put me on medication but because of my ED i had to come off them

Voices from the outside may be schizophrenia. Voices from the inside are usually aspects of the self (parts of you). People with eating disorders often have 'conversations' with the eating disorder part of them. You need professional help to work with this situation - first of all to find out what it really is, and then to work your way out of it. People do heal from this and go on to live full and satisfying lives, so go out there and get some serious help.

Outside voices are usually assumed to be signs of schizophrenia, which is treatable with medication and therapy. Or, you may have dissociated parts of yourself. If so, it may work to 'talk' to these parts of yourself and ask what they need. Either way, you can heal from this. Get good help. Report It

Seek help with a mental health professional.

See a docter.

go see a therapist

Please go see a doctor

go into the light...... go into the light......

thats demons! got to church and tell the preacher.... if you want it all to stop you need to go tell a preacher

These voices are of course only in your head, and since you have an eating disorder you should go see a doctor and get mental and physical help for your body.

Tell someone so they can get you some help.

It sounds like you are skitzophrenic...I would definately go and see a doctor, they have great treatments available.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. You should most certainly find a mental health professional, since the symptoms you're describing are serious. You are clearly in pain, and you deserve to feel better, so please try to get help for yourself soon.

Eat a big meal, then go on a three day fast. Don't look in the mirror for a week, and remove all scales. This tells your body that it doesn't need to worry about food troubles, and it should stop telling you stuff!

me and you need to talk i ve got a similar situation

Tell the girl to fxck off, hun. You have to tell yourself that you're pretty and skinny! You're in control. :]

you need to see a doctor and explain what is going on,the girl you hear keep reminding yourself you are very nice looking and not by any means fat maybe a little thin but not fat, tell her you are not listening to her and if you live with your parents show them this post or your friend someone to talk with

this lady is trying to trick you into being more anorexic, eating less etc. dont listen to those voices, seek medical help asap otherwise your life may be in danger if you get any skinnier.

In my opinion, your self perception is altered and its also probably a symptom of paranoia. However, its important to seek professional help about this because the voices that are appearing in your head right now could lead to something worse.

Anorexia is a serious self concept to have. It manipulates your self image, and completely distroy your self esteem. Please do note that Anorexia cannot be cured, but can be treated. Therefore, immediate attention is really advised in ths situation.

Just think of it this way; your body needs you, and its important to talk to someone you trust and a professional that will help. Good luck! =]

Make an appointment with your doctor immediately. He/she can refer you to a psychiatrist who can help you. My sister heard voices for several months before she finally attempted suicide. Believe me, she regretted it in the ER when they were pouring charcoal into her. She was diagnosed with schizophrenia and put into counselling and prescribed a daily medication to take, and is now much happier. It's been 4 years. She has a 8 month old son, and is expecting another baby boy.

sounds like schizophrenia. you need some drugs to keep it at bay. you can live a pretty normal life without drugs but you have to ignore the voices etc. that guy, a beautiful mind is about is able to do this. you just have to realize that ITS ALL IN YOUR HEAD and ignore it.

I have a couple of questions for you-Are the voices coming from outside your head or inside? Do you ever hear voices arguing with one another? Do you experience any time loss? Do you have a history of trauma> Do you know whether or not you dissociate?

The s/s you are describing sounds like Schizophrenia. It is more scary not to see a psychiatrist. If left untreated,it could potentially become life threatening b/c you start to believe the voices and will do anything to "please "them, which it sounds like you are probably doing right now.A person with Schizophrenia has hallucinations,tension,spaciousness,etc.... hallucinations may be triggered by a persons thinking they are a victim of a situation. The person then will act on the hallucination, such as you are now with the eating disorder.A person with schizophrenia also has a scattered thought process, meaning they jump from one thinking to another and can not follow through.

whoa...how ironic

i just finished watching the movie "stranger than fiction"

its all about voices in the head maybe you should go see the movie
