Settling an argument, a friend and I were discussing eating disorders.?

And I told her than when people stop eating they first gain or maintain weight and then rapidly lose it. I told her that I'v heard when you do not eat or eat very little for those first 3-5 days you gain/maintain because your body is storing fat. She claims it takes longer than that (approx 2 weeks) to begin to rapidly lose weight if you're eating very small amounts.
Can someone with knowledge about this subject please provide me with some information about who is right and why.
Thank you!

this has to do with your metabolisim and a couple of factors herein
along with watter weight. when you stop eatin a diet of what your body is accustomed to your metabolism slows down so as to obtain more of what is being digested. the less you eat the more fat your body wants to store. activities the best thing i kin think of , if you maintain the amount of food consumed and drink more watter while making sure that the food that you consume is low in carbs so its for the most part vegetables fruit and protiens you should be good. but if you stop eatin your body will catch up with your diet causing weakness and you wont have enough energy to burn the fat that you have seeing as how it burns at a higher temperature than carbs and protien.
herbal teas make a world of a difference
ginger
green teas
especially non caffinated ones that help to optimise a number of internal functions of the body and mind state process

actually you maintain or lose weight for about a week or two.....then your body will go into starvation mode and start storing fat from whatever food you do eat....you will start losing weight after a couple of weeks but you will also feel tired and lethargic because your body wont be getting the nutrients need to make energy.....you will not lose weight rapidly.....no matter how much you deprive yourself of food because your body will be storing whatever you do eat to provide energy for your body to function. Starvation diets are not the way to go to lose weight...

so basicly you gain wait fast unless u excersize and burn off that fat...trust me i was anerexic its quite simple actually your body builds up fat but you excersize and it leaves
