Hay fever?

can you have a hay fever for one day? I sneeze 6 times today

I don't think that you can have hay fever just for one day. The think is when you have hay fever you know that you have it, your eyes, nose, throat hurt and its really horrible. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I have had it seen i was 4 years old and its getting worse not better

Sure you can. Some plants bloom at different times of year, weather conditions, etc, etc. Perhaps it's just the perfect combination of factors (like a perfect storm).

i agree with Baps no you can't get hayfever for just 1 day. hayfever is a pest and you'd certainly know if you'd got it. its sneezing, runny eyes, stuffy nose or runny nose, itchy and watery eyes and sometimes itching all over. i wish i only sneezed 6 times a day! i've had it since i was 7 and like Baps mine is getting worse to.

I agree with Baps. Sneezing six times in one day is not hay fever. With hay fever you sneeze all the time unless you take anti histamines. Also your eyes itch terribly.

Hay fever is an allergic reaction, and can be very transient.

If it only happens once, then there is not really much you need to do about it. If it starts to happen regularly, then you need to do something to minimise your reactivity.

The best way to make sure you reduce your susceptibility to allergic reactions is to make sure your digestive tract is in the best condition possible. If your gut lacks integrity, your blood is exposed to larger food particle that are seen as foreign, and your immune system starts to react. Once it is overwhelmed with work, it will react inappropriately to exposure to all sorts of common substances, and you start to get allergic reactions such as hay fever.

To improve gut integrity, use slippery elm, golden seal, and avoid dairy, wheat and foods to which you are allergic (ones that you just have to have every day are often allergens, along with any that make you feel bloated or sleepy after you eat them)
