Do I have hay fever or do I have a cold?

In my last question I complained about allergy symptoms but I am not entirely sure if I have allergies or if I just have a cold. More details:

I don't have itchy, watery eyes but I have been blowing my nose contantly. I feel like I have to sneeze a lot but I only sneeze ocassionally and when I do I feel better. I have that achy feeling in the muscles you get when you have a cold and I have also been urinating frequently. I also haven't had much of an appetite since these symptoms started.

Do I have hay fever or could I just be suffering from the common cold?

I think it's allergies. There is a way you can tell for certain if it's allergies or a cold: buy an over-the-counter allergy medication like Benadryl and see if it helps the symptoms. Then you'll have your answer.
