How do i overcome Hay fever?

i have Hay fever. keep sneezing, running noise and eyes.

i also have headache every now and again.

any ideas of how to over come this Hay fever?

Try Homoeopathy for your Hay Fever. My phone starts ringing earlier each year as people are so fed up with the side effects of conventional medicine & all are impressed with the results from using homoeopathic remedies. Within about 3 years, the vast majority find that they no longer need to use anything as they are completely cured. There is no one remedy that I could suggest for your symptoms as you will find that your particular symptoms are quite individual to you - so you need an individual remedy. Please consult the Society of Homeopaths who will point you in the direction of a local practitioner. Go to http://www.homeopathy-soh.org/ You will be pleased with the results

Take an allergy pill like Claritin D

There are allergy shots that your doctor can give you. Or you can take something like Benedryl, over-the-counter Claritin. That's what I take for mine is the over-the-counter Claritin.

One time injection of HydroCortisone will last all summer - ONLY by prescription. Tried it myself as a teenager and it was great. My hayfever suddenly vanished after about 8 years and never had it since. So keep hoping! Could also try Chinese medicine - heard that works well. Good luck

hi sorry to hear that your suffering hope these ideas help you ...
1) clarytin roughly around 拢4 for 7 tabs or generic brand loratadine roughly 拢3.00 for 30 tabs these tablets are exactly the same thing with the same active ingredient but because one is generic it is alot cheaper they are both non drowsy one a day tablets.
2) zirtek about 拢5 for 15 tabs i think or the generic version again is about 拢3 for 30 tabs again they are both non drowsy one a day tablets and the same goes for the price because it is generic it is cheaper.
3) benadryl (not sure if that's how its spelt) and I'm pretty sure that its more than one a day and i think it drowsy.
4) nasal sprays beconase or pollenase they help with the sneezing pollenase is a generic brand so will be cheaper than beconase.
5) eye drops, pollenase or opticron they really help if you suffer from itchy or runny eyes
6) there is anew product on the market called hay max it is a balm that goes round the edge or the nostrils that stops the pollen going in to your body. it is quite good i have actually tried it today and it is really really good, and it soothes the nose as well if it is sore, it really works but it is about 拢6 and for the pain i would take paracetamol or ibuprofen.
anyway i hope this helps you good luck xx

Firstly only about 50% of hay fever sufferers get total relief from antihistamines. The rest have to use local treatments often in conjunction, to treat their eyes, nose or chest.

Antihistamines divide into 2 basic groups:

1) Very old, 2-3 times a day, potent, sedative and very cheap.
2) Newer, once daily, less potent, less sedative (these still cause some sedation!) and more expensive.

There are a dozen in the second group, there is little to choose between them but mizolastine is said to decrease the number of patients who need local preparations.

I always put in my answer before I look at the other answers. I might be tempted to guess that among them there is likely to be at least one suggestion about using homeopathy and at least one advocating this weeks urban myth of local honey. Neither of these work, they are however harmless so you are welcome to test them out for yourself.

Both some eye and nasal preparations are available over the counter. They are however the older and milder managements and the pack sizes are very small for the price you pay. There is often an argument for seeing your GP, if only to save money.
