Cud this be hay fever? |
My mum is suffering really bad with dryness of the mouth and a blocked and then runny nose for the past few weeks. Even the back of her tounge is white at times. She has been to docs and one has said it is hay fever and the other says its not. She hasbeen given allergy tablets to be taken 6times a day but after she takes one she is very drowsey and does be all day. She is also on angina tablets which might not agree with the allergy ones. Any advice would be great... Thanks She needs to go see an allergist for a proper diagnosis and change her allergy med to a non drowsy one like Claritin aka loratidine which is available over the counter. Have her seen an allergist and get diagnosed. I have hayfever and I only get very itchy eyes and a very itchy nose. I get a dry mouth sometimes but I don't think it's anything to do with hayfever. Try a third opinion because it could be something else. Tell her to see the doctor I get hayfever - but I only get a dry mouth in the morning after I have slept all night with my mouth open because the anti histamines don't work! |
