Any remedies for hay fever that is drowsy free? |
Live in midwest and hay fever is real bad this season and common stuff is not working Claritin is the best (but it's not as strong as the others that will make you drowsey) I would get Claritin-D because it has 2 ingredients in it. One is claritin, which is the antihistime which will help stop the allergies. the second is the D part of it, which is sudafed which will help dry you up if you have runny nose or congested head. Claritin-D, because it has sudafed in it, is located BEHIND the pharmacy counter. It containes the old formula of sudafed, which is the BEST one out there. It also will NOT make you tired. It's avaiable in a 12 and 24 hour. I would start with the 12 hour and take one in the morning and if you feel in the evening that you are still suffering with symptoms, then take another tablet. I don't think that the 24 hour one actually lasts all day anyway. Hope you're feeling better soon. Try something that has a daytime formula so it won't make you tired. I think Tylenol makes one that I've used before, I have bad allergies myself. I like Claritin D. It has never made me sleepy, and lots of non-drowsy things do. |
