Allergic to hay but not hay fever, right? Please help!?

I went horseback riding two days ago. I fed the horses some
alfalfa, so I just kinda hugged a couple of the flakes. I had a long sleeved shirt on and bell bottom jeans, but since that evening everything around my knees and elbows and shoulders itches like crazy!!! Someone told me I was allergic to hay, but doesnt it have to come in contact with the skin to itch? I would really really appreciate some answers to this, meanwhile I was told not to scratch!!!
Thanks~

Sounds like you are allergic to Alfalfa. Don't scratch. Talk some kind of antihistamine and wait it out.
