My nose allergy or (hay fever ) is killing me ..HELP me please !.. And if you you no about any over-the-counter medication I would'nt mind to :)
Thanks There are several things that work pretty well: nettles, elderberry flowers, vitamin C, echinacea root extract are some. Also quercetin (a bioflavinoid) used with bromelain (a digestive enzyme, taken on an empty stomach.
If it is "killing you" I assume you have a pretty bad case of seasonal allergy. The best product I've found is called Respir-All by NOW Foods, available only in health food stores. It contains several of the things I listed and I've even seen it clear up what had been diagnosed as asthma. Read all the ingredients here: http://www.nowfoods.com/?action=itemdeta...
Some people find that dairy products make their hayfever worse, especially ice cream and whole milk. Try switching to soy, almond or rice milk for a time. I have used an herb called Nettle. You might want to do a whole body detox. Allergies can be a sign of parasites. The first step is to cleanse your intestinal system. This will not only make you feel better. This will also allow any supplements that you might be taking, this will lead to better absorption. You then should do a liver/gallbladder flush. You should also add a probiotic to your regimen. You might also consider doing a parasite cleanse. I have been using a product called Oxy-Powder for 3 years and it also help me to digest foods better. Since you said something about wanting to know about over-the-counter drugs, I'll suggest Claritin. It helps me and I have year-round allergies. I use a homeopathic pill. It sort of helps and doesn't throw my body off too much.
The homeopathic stuff only costs $8 for 500 pills and I get it from 1800homeopathy.com (i think). Acute attacks of hay fever often respond to homeopathic remedies. Allergies are usually deep-seated problems, and are often best addressed with a constitutional remedy and the guidance of an experienced practitioner.

Homeopathy Dosage Directions
Select the remedy that most closely matches the symptoms. In conditions where self-treatment is appropriate, unless otherwise directed by a physician, a lower potency (6X, 6C, 12X, 12C, 30X, or 30C) should be used. In addition, instructions for use are usually printed on the label.
Apple Cider Vinegar, is extremely helpful in the prevention and treatment of allergy symptoms. Mix 1-2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar in a glass of water (250ml) and gulp the mixture at once. Use it 2-3 times a day. If taken at the onset of symptoms, improvement occurs immediately or in 1-3 hours. If you have been experiencing allergies for several days, your symptoms will diminish after about one day. If you don't notice any ease of your hay fever after 2-3 days, stop taking the remedy.
Garlic (Allium sativum) Garlic has marvelous health-giving properties. Among all this properties it acts as an anti-allergic, due to its high quercetin content. Take 400-600 mg daily, but not much more, since garlic is an effective blood thinner and may cause bleeding if overused.
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) Stir 1 teaspoon of ground Turmeric into 250 ml water and drink it. Within 15 minutes the hay fever symptoms must be better. You can take Turmeric capsules as well. You may use it during the whole season.

I suffer from awful allergies too. One thing I've found that really works is a homeopathic allergy tincture that's specific to my region (N. California) and the blooming plants here that create hayfever. The name of the producer escapes me, but I'd be willing to be they have other regional tinctures as well. Maybe try asking at your local health food store/natural pharmacy for region specific homeopathic allergy tinctures. The one that I buy is so popular in my area that our store has a hard time keeping it on the shelves during the allergy season. I stock up in the winter time for that very reason!
Good luck! Try homeopathic remedy one that labels "hay fever".
Over the counter medications usually would dry your nasals, not good. Keep hydrated..
good luck. I would recommend herbal supplements ALJ, which assists the body in neutralizing allergens, with herbs including Fenugreek seeds and Horseradish root extract and Histablock with stinging nettle, quercetin, bromelain and immature orange peel by Nature Sunshine Products. These products helps my sons who deal with allergies. Also, look into eating for your blood type and avoid dairy products, processed foods, junk foods and try a more wholesome diet. |
