If you have Hay fever are you likely to get Asthma? |
i get occasional hayfever everytime i go outside i get a blocked up nose, red eyes and nower days i get breathless when i walk to school i'm only 16. Will i get asthma when i'm older i do run alot and stuff and never get breathless inside its just outside Not necessarily. I have had Asthma since i was 8 (41 now) and i have never had Hay fever. They don't have to go together. i dont know im afraid but you could try 'actived' to help with the symptoms of the hayfever No. no dont be a hypochondriac youre unfit that dose not have anything too do with getting Asthma, it may trigger your Asthma. I don't think so, and i think, but am not sure, that asthma is something genetic, you have it or you don't. Not necessarily. I've had hay fever and eczema for years but I've never had any breathing problems, although eczema and asthma sometimes run together. Just keep yourself fit and eat well. No. No it doesnt nessasarily mean you will get asthma but does seem to be related, some people grow out of hayfever and develop occasional asthma but thats not to say it will happen to you.Your doctor can get you to use a peak flow meter which will measure your lung capacity. It usually seems to be hereditary. If you feel like you are breathing trough a straw and don't get enough air, you already have asthma! No it doesn't mean you will definitely get asthma. i;ve never heard of that before.i know there similar in breathing,,,ashma ; you have a hard time breathing at times;and hayfever ;you have a hard time breathing also,,,,,LOL# NO ,you have seasonal alergies...Hay fever is from pollin caused from trees, and other plant life...Asthma is a very serious disease caused from the wall of the lungs, people with asthma usually always have bad lungs, and is related to COPD.... you just happen to be a person plaqued by seasonal alergies....Don,t be concerned aabout asthma ,you would have had it a ;ong time ago and been diagnosed had you ever had asthma... You can't get asthma. It is a birth defect. You are born with it you don't contract it.Some people just don't exhibit the systems of the disease until later in life.If you are concerned have your parents take you to the doctor to have you checked out. yes You have an increased chance of getting asthma and eczema/dermatitis but it may not necessarily happen, especially if you only get it occasionally. |
