At what age would hay fever start? |
my grandson is 3months old as been sneezing and is eyes looked puffed Yes, I think it can start at all ages. Mine started when I was 6, and was terrible each year until I was 16/17 and then became much milder. Yet this year I have been suffering quite badly again. it starts at all ages Allergies can easily start that early. Any measures you would take as an adult to avoid allergens (staying inside from 6 am to 10 am, keeping windows closed, etc) will help. If the symptoms get severe, a pediatrician can give you a prescription. hay fever can start at any time if he looks like it get him to doctor righ away. cant remember if it is contagus Any age really could be he has it, a lot of people around me have so I'm guessing certain pollens are high at the moment. Sounds like thats it. Hay fever can start at any age at any time in your life. pollens evolve and change so you may not suffer with it at the present time but may get it say next year. there are also different types of hay fever, tree pollen, grass pollen and pollen from flowers. each has it's own different season throughout the year i started with hay fever when i was 21 any age. i got mine the first year at high school and ive had it ever since although its got better over the years. it could be hayfever but i would always get it checked out with such a young baby as it could be an allergy to something That does seem a bit young. I am a mum and my children were around three or four yrs. old when they started. I was about 19 yrs old when I started with it........better not to get it! We have had the usual sneezing plus eczema and asthma. I had hay-fever when I was 16, which is 44 years ago and my doctor told me that I would soon outgrow it. I still get it and all the injections, pills and potions over the years have not helped one bit. I live with and curse it but get on with life and look forward to September when it's all over. It does, of course, spoil my summer. The exhorbitant, rip-off Britain, cost of medicines to relieve the syptoms wouldn't help either. Hay fever can start at any age, it would be best to consult the GP about it though because he's so young and the medications to treat hay fever usually advise against giving it to someone so young. |
