One a day hay fever relief - advice needed please...?

If I take one drug i.e Loatadine and it doesnt help much, is it OK to take another one a day i.e Cetrizine in the same day? I have no ill effect from either when taken alone.
Will they contra indicate one another?

There could be a contra indication. One might increase the effect of the other and if they both cause drowsiness, your breathing might be affected. Don't increase you dose or take with another antihistamine until you have spoken to your doctor or pharmacist. Give Boots a call. They will be able to help you.

No, don't take these drugs together. One a day is suppose to be sufficient of any preparation. Try one a day with the cetrizine and if this is not shifting your symptoms, you may need to switch to Piriton....you will sleep like nobodies business, but you will be symptoms free!

I wouldnt mix them...but have certainly taken 2 tablets of the same kind in one day.

TBH it would make better sense speaking to your GP about upping the dose...changing the brand...or like me, mixing it with other remedies such as eye drops/nasal spray.

Hayfever is a ***** of a thing, so make sure you say so if the meds aren't working.
