More info on Hashimoto disease and a toxin being released thats bad.?

I want info for a friend on Hashimoto disease and something else along with it that puts off a toxin in her that isn't good. I don't understand it and so far what I have read it doesn't say anything about being deadly but the way she talks it is and she doesn't have long. I need to know more. I want to find out more to help her if I can.

Here's some information about hyporthyroidism. Also, for underactive thyroid also..which is good to know, because once you're on medication, if it's too low, you can tell with the symptoms.
I highly doubt she's going to die. I mean, I know it's a drag and all, but I don't know that you'd die over it. I could be wrong though.
I have also given several links below to read & perhaps you can read through & understand the different thyroid symptoms & problems. Please go through the links...learn all you can if you care about your friend, and educate her/him & be there for them as much as you can. They sound like they need your support...perhaps they are really scared, and you should be there to help them understand things.
Here is some information about myself, plus some symptoms in case anyone coming upon your question may be interested:
I have low thyroid. If you have low thyroid...here's a great question to answer: Can you see the floor of your house? That was what was asked of me at one point, and to my amazement, the answer was no!
Anyway, the signs are:fatigue and lack of energy. Women suffering from underactive thyroid experience heavier menstrual periods. Sluggishness and forgetfulness are symptoms of underactive thyroid problem. Other symptoms of this thyroid disorder are dry skin and hair and constipation.
If you have high thyroid, or an overactive one, the signs are: increased body metabolism. This is followed by weight loss and excessive warmth and sweating. Persons suffering from overactive thyroid experience trembling hands, irritability and rapid heartbeat or palpitations. Women with overactive thyroid or hyperthyroidism may experience shorter or lighter menstrual periods.
I take medication, and sadly will have to take 1 pill everyday for the rest of my life. There's a blood check that they will do to see if you have low or high. I hope i've helped you!!

Autoimmune thyroiditis (AT), also known as Hashimoto鈥檚 disease, is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the thyroid gland that is caused by abnormal blood antibodies and white blood cells that mistakenly attack and damage healthy thyroid cells. It is a progressive disease that may destroy the thyroid gland, causing thyroid hormone deficiency (hypothyroidism). Autoimmune thyroiditis presents with various combinations of symptoms, making diagnosis difficult. This disease can occur at any age, but is most often seen in middle-aged women. In rare cases, it may be associated with other autoimmune endocrine disorders.

Disorder Subdivisions-None

What I know of Hashimoto's is the auto-immune disease of Harshimotos Thyroiditis. This is where the auto-immune system of the body (what fights disease), thinks that the thyroid gland is foreign to the body (doesn't belong in the body), and starts to destroy it. Usually it presents itself by producing antibodies (to fight the infection it thinks you have), which lowers the amount of thyroid hormone produced by the thyroid gland and lowers the free-flowing thyroid in your blood stream. All you need to do is take thyroid medication on a daily basis.

Your friend's Dr. says it produces a toxin, but that's probably the antibodies that I described earlier. As far as I know it's not deadly unless she has a cancer or other autoimmune disease associated with it then it might be more serious, but not necessarily deadly. If she is scared or the Dr. isn't taking his time to explain it to her the nature of this thyroid disorder, she might want to think about getting a second opinion.
