Does anyone have Hashimoto鈥檚 Disease? |
I have been newly diagnosed. My TSH levels were very high..and doctor has started me on Synthroid 25 mcg daily. I gained a lot of weight (roughly 10 lbs), I have been very achey, tired, irritable. Has anyone had any of these symptoms or others? Do you lose the weight eventually after being on the meds? How long does it take to feel better and have more energy? Any side effects from meds? Are we predisposed to other autoimmune disorders now? I am being retested in 3 months to check my levels. I'm hoping to feel better, and thinner by then! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated or advice. : ))) Your weight will normalize once your thyroid hormone gets under control, it takes about a month for the medication to build up in your blood. There are some side affects but it differs from person to person. As no one seems to know the answer I looked it up and found lots of information like these sites: |
