Is there any new medicine for auto-immune disease Hashimoto Thyroiditis for a permanent cure?

Hashimoto Thyroiditis is a chronic disease in which your body makes antibodies to thyroid tissue...and thyroid tissue is destroyed.

Thus, you MUST replace thyroid...as you need thyroid to live.

So, thyroid replacement (synthroid, etc.) must be taken lifelong.

Unless the future brings thyroid tissue implants or transplants, there is no "cure". However, taking synthetic thyroid is like a cure, in that you replace what would have been produced....
