Is it possible to grow in height after you reach your 30s?

I hit 5' 8.5" when I was 13 years old and have been repeatedly measured at that height by dozens of doctors, nurses, my mom, etc. The last time I was measured was probably five years ago, some time after my 30th birthday.

Today my teenage sons decided it would be funny to measure me (I was measuring one of them for his birthday) and it came out to 5' 9.5" ! My husband didn't believe the result, certain they were doing it wrong and repeated the measurement, checked with several different measuring instruments, from a tape measure to a yard stick. It's accurate.

I started on thyroid meds about two years ago after doctors discovered that I have Hashimoto's disease. Could this have anything to do with it?

I haven't lost weight or done anything differently (exercise, stretching, etc) from the time I was 25.

So, it is possible for a female to grow an extra inch after her 30th birthday?

possible if you have thyroid problems....may have been some extra human growth hormone release

I'LL QUIT ALL THE CRAP
..THE ANSWER YOUR LOOKING FOR IS

YES!
Even tho it depends on how tall the rest of ya family is
if their quite small then your likley to not grow anymore
but if your the smallest at the mo then your likely to grow a bit more :]

Yes, it is kinda possible...
