What are some clinical circumstances that would require handwashing??

please give me at least five. thanx.

Between patients
Upon arriving at work
After visiting the restroom
After handling/cleaning up body fluids/waste
At end of day before leaving work

In all cases you have to wash your hands and with a brush, in some situations you have after washing your hands also to use alcohol to clean

All clinical procedures require hand washing, including lunch! Have a good day.

handwashing is a
Universal Precaution.!

it means that, you have to wash you hands as frequently as you can...
for at least a minute...

in this way, you prevent transmision of viruses/bacteria/or anything that's in your hands

thanks

You should wash your hands when:
1) you have used the bathroom
2) you can see visible soiling on them (dirt, blood, etc.)
3) you have coughed/sneezed/or blown your nose into your hands/kleenex
4) before handling food products
5) after handling raw meats
6) between all patients in a hospital/clinical setting
7) before surgery
8) after smoking a cigarette

Hope this helps...

what is this for some type of exam questions? do your own homework. check out the cdc website.
