How can I deactivate (kill) a virus? |
I've heard conflicting information. Someone says that dishsoap destroys the virus's lipids, yet I read that it is the actual mechanical motion of handwashing that removes the virus. your reading is correct: you can wash the virus off your hands but if it gets inside you and you have the cold, there is no medicine that will kill the virus. a virus lasts 3-21 days and by the time a person has symptoms he/she may have infected over 100 people. treat the symptoms, but prevention is most important. eat a healthy diet, exercise, and wash hands frequently. |
