What do people with OCD do?

Hey. Does anyone have OCD on here?

I don't, but I've always been curious about it.
If anyone does, what sorts of rituals and things do
you feel compelled to do?

I've heard about handwashing and touching things
alot, but does anyone have any really different
forms of OCD?

Just curious.
Thanks! =]

I've had ocd my whole life. It's horrible. My habits are these
touching things three times
counting all objects before touching them
counting the sides of each chaire 5 times before sitting down
if one side of my body (like my foot or hand gets wet) the other side muct too.
I don't walk on cracks
I stay away from germs
I can't say certain words and others I feel I must
All letters must be closed when I wright
I do not like uneven lines
I stay away from all numbers having to do with four
I do not like facing the hallway in the classroom and prefer the right side of things (usually)
All identicle objects have a right and wrong one including glasses, silverware, papers, pencils, pens, etc...
Each foot must walk an equal amount of steps
I count sips from drinks and etc...
My typing has to have each finger and hand touch the same amount of keys.
There's more but I would probably take up a whole page.

Basicly if these things aren't done I get really axious (like I'm doing a speech) and I feel as if something bad will happen (like someone will die), even though I know it's irrational. If something isn't done right it has to be redone until it is, but sometimes I can't get it right which will stress me out a lot.

I hope this helps (sorry it's so long I know it's a bit condensed).

OCD is a psychiatric anxiety disorder most commonly characterized by a person's obsessive, distressing, intrusive thoughts and compulsions (tasks or "rituals") which attempt to neutralize the obsessions. I am not diagnosed, but I tend to act like it at times. I enjoy organizing things, and have things ordered from largest to smallest. I don't like messy, bad smelling rooms, and immediately tend to have an urge to clean. My husband says I do things I don't notice. People who have serious cases, it tends to affect their lives in serious ways. Such as, they cannot leave the house without doing a certain routine. OCD can't really be cured, but those who want to solve this problem when it interferes go to a psychiatrist. See this website for more info. Hope this helps!
