Any ideas about wrist/hand injury? |
Last Monday I got hit with a baseball directly on my left wrist. They did X-rays of my wrist/forearm and found no broken bones. Today I noticed the bruising has traveled to the tips of my fingers and on the palm side of my hand is a round bruise directly under my ring finger knuckle. I pushed on it and it has a lot of movement and the other knuckles don't (when I push on them). When I push on that spot there is movement in what I am guessing to be a joint space between the base of my thumb and radius bone. Could this be because of a bad tear or could one of the bones in my hand be broken and not my wrist? My hand is also VERY VERY tingly on the palm side and is also noticeable colder then my other hand. I appreciate any input! you probably burst a blood vessel. Ice it to keep the swelling down. the bruise should start to look better in about 2 days. If it does not, consult your doctor. Get a squishy ball and try to squeeze it lightly to keep the blood flowing to the other fingers. you'll get used to it and it will heal by itself. stop worrying so much my brother got hit in the knee with a baseball about a month ago, he got x-rays and everything, and nothing showed up, so he just went around like nothing happend then a couple weeks after that it was still swollen, he had a bone spur on it so last wensday he had to have surgery, so i would go to ur doctor and take any kind of tests that they will give u! good luck and feel better! Dont worry you wont die with a wrist injury but i must tell you the discomfort is there all you need to do is that take a bandage and wrap your wrist with triangular bandage so that it wont move for the day..Wrap it snuglly so that it wont hurt you and it wont make any allergy. Take the bandage at night time so that your wrist can make rest. Dont move to much your wrist so that it wont -dislocate upon the healing time.Go and have an x-ray so that you can have an exact point whether there's a dislocation between your wrist and your hand or maybe it's only ur muscles. |
