Hand overuse injury? |
I have been playing violin for ten years, and have been playing semi-professionally for the last 5. I've 17, and my hand has been bothering me a lot. I have been having pain in the middle joint of my right middle finger and down across the back of my right hand into my right wrist. Do you have any ideas as to what I've done? Or any ideas how to lessen the pain/prevent the pain? Thanks! If its going down the back of the hand ..thats like tendonoitis or tenosynovitis..the sheath around the tendon is irritated...90% get better with decreasin or stopping useage,Steroid injections can help if bad enough.A occupationl hand therapist could give some good stretching ideas |
