If I fractured a done in my hand would I constant feel pain or just when that bone is used/moved? |
About 3 weeks ago I was involed in an accident and my hand was hit by the airbag. My whole forearm/hand was swollen there after and stills looks a little swollen now (can only tell when compared to other hand). I can feel pain only when I touch the bone in the center of my hand connected to my ring finger and feel pain when I do things such as playing sports. I am also now having a harder time holding my textbooks just in that hand. Something I can easily do with the other hand. You may have bruised the bone, or you might have a small fracture. To be sure, you should get an x-ray of your hand. Do this as soon as you can, because if there's something that needs to be repaired, it should be fixed before the bones heal in an awkward position. It could be broken. The only way to know for sure is to go to a doctor to get it xrayed. If you continue to use it and it is broken you could dislodge the broken bones and move them way out of whack so that your injury never heals correctly. The best thing is to go to the doctor. They will have the best advice for healing any injury the best and fastest way. |
