Has anyone ever injured their knuckles? by hittin something? whats the best treatment for these injuries?

see ive damaged the nerves in my knuckles on my right hand.
i hit a solid structure a couple of years ago, and since then, when i apply pressure to that knuckle region, i feel sharp shoooting pains.
but the hand specialist told me last week that nothing could be done and id have to be carefull with it. but i got told on here that it could get treated by bein operated on with surgery..?

what does anyone think?

Go and read the answers to your other question which asked exactly the same thing before you start posting any more on the same subject. Meantime, stop losing your temper and punching inanimate objects ! ! !

Well, quit hitting things. Seek anger management treatment for that problem. And stop applying pressure if it hurts to do that.

Well dear, it sounds very much that You have a chronic peritendinitis (post traumatic pain from structures surrounding the affected extensor tendons that run underneath the skin of the knuckes)
Normally, its treated by an orthopedist, and there are very many things to do.
The most effective one (do not be scared) is to infiltrate in the painfiul areas, small amounts of a topical anesthetic like lidocaine 2% mixed with a local acting steroid (Depo Medrol, and or Dexamethasone acetate, or 10 mg fof triamcynolone acetonide 10 mg /2 ml of lidocaine)
After one or two of this sessions, the tendinitis (inflamation of the tendons and tissue around them) will be gone.
Please, I suggest you to print this page, and take it to Your doctor.
Respectfully I deeply disagree with the assertion that "there is nothing else to do"....a doctor that tells you such a thing in ANY disease or abnormal condition, does not deserve his or her Diploma
Good luck
