My fingers have been swelled for like a week now; what may have caused this? How can I get the swelling down?

I just woke up one day and they were swelled. They have been like this for a week. I have no hand injury. Is there a food or drink that can cause swelling to the fingers. I know it may be a allergic reaction but im not sure what i touched to cause it either. It doesnt hurt really either.

It could be an allergic reaction, but it could also be that you consumed a lot of sodium within a day or two. This has happened to me on days that I eat at restaurants, since I usually eat home-cooked meals. Restaurants, particularly chinese food, has high amounts of sodium which could cause the swelling.

Do the fingers itch at all? If so, it's most likely an allergic reaction.

Try to remember if you've been eating anything differently lately. This may help. Oh, have you switched soaps either? This could be a cause.

dads friends feet swell when he gets gout

this happens when you are stressed or pregnent or its hot out side may also be from swinging or hands hanging down a lot it happens when i run a mile

Well you may be retaining water...and it's cause by consuming a lot of salt or sodium relatives!! Drink lots and lots of water, avoid soda, gatorade or similars, and any stuff that have salt!! And try some natural diuretics, but just for a coupple of days, and u'll be as good as u were before, if not better!
