Numb and tingly hands and fingers..?

my mom has this disease or disorder where her hands and fingers feel numb and tingly. Her doctor says that this has something to do with a bone in her neck cracking and compressing a nerve. thats why her hands and fingers feel that way, but we only know how to call this disease/ symptom in chinese, it's 闋告鐥? what is it called in english?

by the way..i dont know if this will help but her docter gave her these pills; naproxen and gabapentin
