Go to this link and it will fill you in on many forms of OCD. I hope this helps answer your question.

yes. OCD means that you obsessively feel that you have to do something....it could be repetitively wasing your hands, clicking electrical appliances on and off or even something so simple as obsesivly checking the house is secure each night.

yes u can it is not just washing hands. it can be all tipes of things.

Excessive hand washing is only a small fraction of those with OCD.
Many people suffer from this in so many ways.

Look it up on google and talk to your doctor.
Good luck

Yes, there are alot of things that are considered OC disorder.

Yes. They can be compulsive about any behavior, not just hand-washing. Some people have to do things a certain number of times (like checking the lock on a door), have things in a particular order( everything alphabatized), or whatever. Whatever the behavior, they simply are obsessed with doing it that way and can't control the compulsion.

Yes, you can have OCD and be obsessed about anything, not just germs and washing your hands.

yes, ocd involves any obsession and compulsion. compulsive hand-washing is only one symptom of the disorder

Yes, they can. You can perform other compulsions but there is a type of OCD that I have that is called Pure Obsessional OCD. With this kind of OCD you have intrusive thoughts, they could be sexual, violent or something different and the cause you to ruminate and think very deeply about why you have them, the compulsion takes place in the mind instead of outside it. It can be very distressing but it is not you it is the OCD.
