What's the name of the disorder in which you can't see 3D (the disoder of the eyes)?

My friend has this disorder or .. disease.. whatever it is, where he cannot see 3D, his vision is 2D, so he has very bad hand-eye-coordination. Can someone tell me the name of this?

loss of stereoacuity

His binocular (bi=2, ocular=lens) vision is bad. I don't know that there's a specific name for it. Does he have glasses? I had this too, where one eye was seeing things fuzzy, so the brain blocked out that eye's vision and was relying solely on the better eye's vision to see. Therefore, I wasn't able to see "3D movies" and stuff like that. I have contacts now and I don't have the problem anymore.

Strabismus will cause loss of binocular function. Amblyopia will also cause loss of binocular function. I would say those are the two biggies. Good Luck!
