Effects of hallucinogens on the blind? |
does anybody know what the effects of a hallucinogenic drug on a blind person would be? Your question implies that hallucinations have something to do with sensory organs. I once covered my eyes to see if the hallucinations would stop, no luck. It's simply a question of what is seen in the mind. Deaf people can have auditory hallucinations because they are not actually hearing anything, the brain just thinks it is. It's not much different with a blind person and visual hallucinations. The fact that the blind can't associate those hallucinations with real world objects is where the difference lies. |
