What category does Marijuana fall under? Is it a depressant? Hallucinogen or Stimulant? |
If its all three than what Category is that? no there should be a specific name... It is not considered any of those. Marijuana, along with hash, is a cannabinoid (from cannabis, the plant they are derived from). This group of drugs produces euphoria and an altered sense of time. They can produce hallucinations at high doses, but are not considered hallucinogens. All 3 it is a DRUG!! Its A depressant. DEFINATELY You forgot the category of stupidity. depressent, but it doesnt do a good job of it... it can make you halucinate, but it has to have something extra in it, or be really potent..... The major drug agencies and scientific literature usually doesn't classify cannabis as falling definitely under any one of the major categories. It's a stupidant. It falls under illegal. Too bad. Because it actually isn't, it is a very strong animal sedative (tranquilizer) that when taken by humans can cause your central nervous system to become affected enough to cause hallucinations ... From my personal experience, I would not classify marijuana as a hallucinogen myself. However, remembering health class, it is classified as one. It has something to do with how THC actually takes ... I would say Marijuana but its not a drug but a natural plant that man does not mix with chemicals(eccept if its laced of course) to get some dangerously addictive monster drug like meth, coke, hero...
