Hair loss!!!!!? |
When you have cancer, and you go to kemotherpy, do you lose JUST the hair on your head? Or do you lose ALLL that different hairs on your body? All of your hair: But it also depends on how much and what kind of Kemo you have to the hair loss you will have. Depends on your chemo, your diet, and the drugs given... All the hairs on your body, yep, even eyelashes. :( But it grows back!! Your eyelashes take 6-8 weeks to grow back. It depends on how much chemotherapy you have, but you will likely lose *all* hair (eyelashes, body hair, etc.) i would think you could lose hair all over your body. not all chemotherapy drugs cause you to lose your hair. i am not sure. but i think ALL Good question I just a lot of research on this last week because a family member is going through this now. Most of the time you will lose it all over your body depending on how aggresive and long your treatment is. Hey there! http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hair-lo... hi ... good question ... the first i want to talk briefly about cancer. Cancer cells is abnormal result from defects in a particular inherited in DNA . and DNA is a protein . so, they use chemotherapy in cancer therapy to kill abnormal cells . hair in all the body is protein it to lose. I think all .. but I'm getting chemo now & I still have most of my hair. It just thinned out a liiiiiiiil bit. generally, if the hair on your head falls off, any hair on your body is fair game...............everytime I lost mine, I also lost it EVERYWHERE else...armpits,legs,eyebrows,eyelashes,p... area, the whole body! Not all chemotherapy regimes cause hair loss; some just cause hair thinning and some do not cause hair loss at all. An oncologist will be able to advise a patient as to whether their chemo will cause hair loss or not. It does depend on the cancer, the chemo, but also, the person. I lost my leg hairs, my arm hair, the hair on my head, but not my eyelashes or eyebrows. I knew other people with the same treatment and cancer who lost all their hair or less hair than me. It depends on the chemo but if you lose your hair you lose it ALL over. I lost half the hair on my head and down below. The rest was not really affected. |
