HAIR LOSS and Ortho Tricyclen Lo Birth Control Pill?

I stopped my birth control pill two days ago due to severe hair loss. I am hoping to hear from other ladies that have been on Ortho Tricyclen Lo and had the same problem with hair loss. My biggest question is whether or not the hair grows back after stopping this pill. Hair loss is so bad that boyfriend asked me to stop taking it and stated abstinence would be no problem if that is what it took for me to be side effect free. I'm hoping the hair grows back!

i have taken tricyclen before. no wonder my hair is thin now plus the fact the hormones in the pills triggered chronic hives for me.....

there are many other forms of birth control so you don't have to feel like you can't do anything with your man....

you can buy prenatal vitamins over the counter i suggest taking them they are the strongest vitamins and i have heard women say their hair got thicker and healthier so give that a try to help it grow back.

you should definitely get in contact with planned parenthood, or whomever it was that you got the pill from, they can get you a lot of information as to why it was happening, and they will put you on a different one, as that is a very uncommon side effect...

Ask your doctor about Diane 35, made to specifically address the issue of hair loss from birth control pills. Well not completely. It does cause body hair to become much finer and lighter.

I had the mirena removed and before that I lost a lot of my hair.

Medication can sometimes make your symptoms worse, and even add new symptoms you never had before
