Is hair loss psychological?

I just turned 18 and have been losing my hair for a few years now. My hair used to be full, shiney and had a lot of lustre to it...now it's thin, and has lost its shine and my scalp is really obvious. I think it's so unfair because I'm still young, I want to do things with my hair, I want to style it, I don't want to be limited to hair styles that are tailored to my hair loss. It's really depressing, I've tried so many things! If hair loss is psychological, how does it begin? I didn't used to worry about my hair falling out because it wasn't, now it is and I worry about it and that probably makes it worse, but how does it start? How is it psychological to begin with? I feel like my time is running out and I feel sooo helpless. Please help me!!!

first you got to calm down, panic wont get your hair back.OK?
then you got to start some positive thinking.first you got to go see a doctor who will advise you on what you can do and if you got to do some tests to make sure you're not sick.loss of hair can come from a variety of reasons besides genetics.then when you had done all this and if there's still no solution, just then you must begin thinking about coping with it and turning it to your advantage.there are many successful and sexy bald men .
last but not least,if french they say "calvicie precoce erection feroce!"which means early bald head makes ferocious erections.OK?so cheer up.;)

Genetics. Usually from your mother's side. I know a few who were completely bald by the time they turned 25 years old. Good thing a few were cops, it made them look tough.

Yes it's genetic. You could wear hair pieces though.

Its genetic. You should be grateful, atleast you have some left. Many dont.

Could be both (i.e. genetic and psychological). Call on a good dermatologist and he can be of great assistance to save the rest of your hair and please don't despair.

perhaps but ithink you just need to take more vit.E

yep it can be linked with stress
