Other than chemotherapy and a disease called Alopecia, what can cause a person't hair to fall out?

I am not talking about male pattern baldness, I am talking about allergies, or maybe reactions to certain medicines (not chemo), diseases, high fever, etc.

High levels of stress can cause hair loss.

there can be many reasons for hair loss and i think you touched on most of them
the most common is shock or stress but can sometimes be treated medically but you would have to be referred by your general practitioner to a dermatologist or a trichologist(a posh name for a hair doctor)some times a hard knock or cyst just under the scalp can disrupt the hair growth can cause temporary hair loss
also certain types of medication can cause hair loss or thinning
vitamin deficiency can be a major contributor for eg lack of iron sometimes in vegetarians causes hair loss
