Am I losing my hair?

This started maybe a few week ago/a few days ago (not too long ago). Anyway, lately I've been finding strands of hair on my pillow when I wake up (Maybe about 3 or 4). I have OCD and hypochondria so I tend to worry a lot. I've been lightly pulling at or rubbing my hair just to see if anything comes out. Usually it doesn't, but if it does it's just a strand. But I've just noticed more strands coming out lately. I don't know if it's cause I'm concentrating on it or what. I've also been very stressed lately and don't get much iron in my system. Yesterday an eyebrow hair and arm hair came out and I'm really starting to get freaked out. I've heard of this disease or whatever it is called "Telogen Effluvium", and I worry that I have that. My hair used to be really thick before. It's kind of thinner and smoother now. I don't really remember finding stray hairs on my pillow before. Sometimes if I'm laying down and get up, sometimes I can feel a strand break off. But that's only happened twice.

Do you think I should see a doctor or not? Remember that I have a tendency to think I have every disease known to man. But to me, it seems like pieces have been coming out more. My mom tries to ressure me, but even she says sometimes that it's abnormal to find 4 hairs or so on my pillow.

It possible you might be pulling them out youself.maybe you have trichotillomania? Maybe not. Hard to tell. But it is related to OCD. Some consider it a type of OCD.
Some people who do it dont realize they are pulling out the hair they just see the hair and bald patches after it is out.
And also the fact that you mentioning lightly pulling to see if anything come out leans toward it for me. because for me it started by lightly tugging on hairs to see if there were "loose ones" and eventually it turns out i was actually just pulling the hairs out
But it could be something else. You should go to a doctor to rule out anything else first.

No, it's normal to have hairs on your pillow. If you find a bald spot then worry.
