Where can you send a hair sample to be checked for poisoning. We are concerned our sister is being drugged.? |
She lives in another state and her husband has been a little on the shadey side for about the last 2 yrs. He doesnt come home at nite, he treats her badly and she told us the other day he told her she had Alzheimers disease. He sent her home for a visit with Alzheimers dementi? We wonder if he is slipping her drugs. She seems a little sleepy and has terrible diarrhea, and is having some trouble talking. Other than that, she is sharp as ever. Can you get a hair sample checked for poisoning? My sister is 57 yrs old and she flew in to the airport, rented a car, and drove across the state to spend 2 weeks with us. She says she didnt know about her disease, but her husband told her, so she believes him. She managed to make flight arrangements, return the rent a car and find our aunts house who we have not seen in over 20 yrs. No Alzheimers symptoms there. My sister is not really the drug taking type. She is real laid back and very well to do. If she doesn't have alzheimers or dimentia you would be violating her privacy. There are places that do drug testing in her area (like for employment), give them a call and ask how she could come in and get tested for drugs in her system. I'm not sure that her general doctor could do that or if he would send her to that drug testing place. But find out who would do it on the spur of the moment, tell them why you want that test for her, and when you take her for the test she will sign the paper herself that she wants to know, and she can also okey it that the results be sent to your home under her name c/o you if she too is concerned her husband might find out if she saw a doctor. The question in my mind is that if you take her to the drug testing place if she has dementia she might tell her husband you took her there and one never knows if he would take it out on her or not. I don't know what kind of guy he is. Call your local D.E.A. Take her to a hospital and they test her blood not her hair. If she has arsenic poisoning they might test the hair later. Just get her away from her husband. First of all....don't be to sure you know the complete story. There is a possibility your sister is taking drugs and hiding it. |
