HRT? Women please?

I have been taking Elleste Solo for 10 days and I am fit to kill!!!!
Can HRT really work the other way? I have never been so depressed in all my life. I still have hot sweats and am more depressed than when I started treatment. Any suggestions please?

Make sure you have been given the correct type of HRT. You will be surprised how many women are prescribed the wrong type of HRT without realsing and then have to suffer the consquences.

My middle daughter who is her middle 40's suffers with endometreosis and was prescribed the wrong HRT she almost ended up going out of her mind. Luckliy she had done a great deal of research on HRT and realised she had been prescribed the wrong type.

So please ask you doctor about the side effects. Could be that what you are suffering is a natural reaction and that things will settled down once your body becoems adjusted to the HRT.

All the best.

U really do need to talk to ur doctor about ur probs..... good luck and i hope that u feel better

Unfortunately Elleste Solo like all hormone HRT can change mood, produce anxiety and depression and changes in libido.

Depression can be a side affect of Elleste Solo or any HRT. If it gets too bad call your doctor. As far as hot flashes go, it may take a month or so to get those under control.

Also, if you've had a hysterectomy you should just be taking Elleste Solo but if you're just going through menopause you need to be taking a progesterone treatment as well (another hormone replacement treatment which balances the effect of estradiol on your womb). You will take this for two weeks of each monthly cycle. This should be part of your HRT.

You need to research different types HRT. I am doing that now because I am taking Estratest and I am no better off. I know the problems lie with you body not getting any progesterone. The Mood Hormone.

iv bin on them for 6months, i find im very angry and bad temperd, and im sure its them thats making me put weight on.good luck to u.also i was told it takes 4weeks to get working in yr body, i dont think u av give them time to work yet.
