HRT after Total Hysterectomy? |
I am 39 on the 26th of September I am having a total hysterectomy. They are still trying to work out what HRT they are going to use. I also suffer from Clinical Depression and the progesterone is one thing I can not have. This is not good for my depression for it brings it on. Has anyone had this problem or any ideas When you have total hysterectomy you do not get progesterone anymore just estrogen. I have been using estrogen since my hysterectomy 20 years ago, this was the only way to avoid terrible hot flashes, dryness, bone loss etc.etc. I do a mammogram every 2 years and go for a gynecological check-up every year. Against depression there are new medications that I am sure your doctor knows and will recommend them to you that won't interfere with the estrogen you are taking. |
