HPV Question Please answer?

HPV Conspiracy?
How come most of the time HPV seems to be diagnosed after giving birth? When the cervix has been damaged from giving birth.

But before either when you have just gotten pregnant or before that by just getting regular paps, you never come up with HPV. Then when you have a baby you suddenly have HPV?

There are many reasons to have a abnormal pap but as soon as you do they say HPV.

Do they test the actual virus or just cervical cells?
Most people only got tested for the cervical cells.

What do you guys think?

I think saying "There are many reasons to have a abnormal pap but as soon as you do they say HPV" is a generalization. When I had an abnormal pap I went to my doctor and she tested me for HPV and I do have a high risk strain.

Many people get HPV after they get pregnant. My doctor has me getting HPV shots . They are used to help people not get ill or sick.

My paps were always ok. Even now after I have been diagnosed with HPV. I was wondering the same thing. The HPV showed up after giving birth (c-section).
And even more weird is that I haven't had sex after conceiving my child. Hmm..

However, I hope this thingy will clear up soon.
